SPANG, Phillip Allen, 52, of Tampa, passed away October 24, 2009. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and came to Tampa at an early age. Phillip graduated from H.B. Plant High School the "Class of 1975". He was employed by Florida Toll Operations. Phillip loved football, his favorite team the "Steelers". He loved going to the beach, music "oldies", some of his favorite singers were the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Stepfen Wolf. Phillip also enjoyed watching the "Star Trek" classic movies, NASCAR racing. He loved cooking especially grilling out. Phillip had a cat "Ashley" that he loved. Survivors include his loving mother, Carole Spang; twin sisters, Nita Romeo and Tina Hegwood; girlfriend, Rebecca Van Lue; three nephews, Sgt. Mark Hegwood, Larry Hegwood and Cpl.
