Phyllis Eileen Allred
September 22nd, 1924 - November 25th, 2018
Phyllis Eileen Allred passed away on Nov. 25, 2018 in Mountain Home, ID. Phyllis was born in Generico, NM, on Sept. 22, 1924 to Thomas and Edna Keele. She was from a family of ten, four boys and six girls. On Nov. 6, 1940 she married John Allred, in that union they had seven daughters and a son. Her hobbies included painting, bingo, family gatherings and poker. In 1977 they moved to Mountain Home, ID, from Glendora, CA. Her greatest achievement was her family. Phyllis was blessed to have over 200 grandbabies representing five generations. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She is survived by daughters Marjorie McCance of, CA, Delayna (Dave) Ellis of, WA, Anita (Barney) Stokes of Mountain Home and son John (Betty) Allred Jr. of Rudy, AR., her sisters Dessie, Patricia, Dixie and Iris and her over 200 grandchildren. She was preceded death by both her parents, her husband John Allred Sr., daughters Cora, Jackie, Carma and Lori, son in laws Bob Payne, Jim McCance, granddaughter Rachel and great great grandson Dominick, her brothers Bill, Dallas, Henry, Dean and her sister Alice. We want to thank staff of St. Lukes Long Term Care. A viewing will be held on Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at Rost Funeral Home. Services will be held on Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. at Rost Funeral Home with burial following at Mountain View Cemetery.

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
