Steve, Sharon, Emily, Bill, Liz and family - so sorry about the loss of your precious mom and grandma! You did a great job selecting a picture that captures her true personality. I can almost hear her laughing when I look at it. She was truly everyone's caregiver and worried more about everyone else than herself most of the time. While our visits with her were limited, it was always an exciting time when Aunt Phyllis would travel to OH or meet up with us at conventions. We all loved her very much and will miss her as I know you all will too. Since we learned of her passing the memories of times we have spent with her have flooded our mind and there are many! Hold on tight to all of memories that you have! She was a true gem for sure! Hugs to you all! Love you all. Dave, Tricia, Ryan/Melissa & Leighton, Raiya and Bailee

I am sorry to hear about this, and I pray for Phyllis to be at peace and join my father, John Coffay in heaven. My brothers John and Paul, sister Holly were a part of her life as children growing up and always said kind words about her. The divorce of my parents left myself and another sister with my mother, while John paul and Holly went to live with Phyllis and my father. I later (15 years) met Phyllis when I was 20, and I had moved to Orlando. She was very very kind to me and I liked her right away. She met all of my children and my husband about 10 years ago when she and my Father came to Orlando and met us at the Hard Rock Hotel. I remember the visit well, it was wonderful. After that, we exchanged Christmas cards and pictures / emails every year. Although I was never very close to her, she is a memorable kind lady, and treated my brothers and sister (her step children) like her own children. I find it sad that in the Obituary of my Father and of Phyllis that a whole part of family was left out . So, here I willl ist all of the 5 children who were also a big part of John and Phyllis Coffays'life: John Coffay, Paul Coffay, Holly Coffay, Julie Hogan, Theresa Ritondro. God Bless you Phyllis!

Bill, Steve and families, I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. She was a lovely and beautiful lady. She was a wonderful aunt and I enjoyed our visits with her and my uncle John. My parents spent many winters in Florida and loved the time spent with Phyllis and John. May she rest peacefully in Heaven. I hope your fond memories help you through this difficult time. Your cousin, Linda (DeOrdio) Deckert
