Phyllis R. Dever

Phyllis R. Dever, 83, of Evans, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her daughters home in La Salle. Phyllis was born August 12, 1939 in Denver, CO to Everett and Alberta (Exline) Swarts. She moved to Hudson as a young girl and grew up there. She married Kenneth Dever on April 21, 1960 in Loveland, CO. She had worked as a Dietician at Beverly Manor in Brighton for 7 years and at Cottonwood in Thornton for 3 years. She also worked for a time at Denver Plastics and at a fireworks factory. She loved camping, crocheting, sewing, painting, drawing, gardening, rock collecting and talking to people. Phyllis is survived by her husband Kenneth of Evans, her children; Melvin Dever of Fort Lupton, Elaine Pearson and husband Doug of La Salle, Betty Penton and husband Bill of Wauneta, Nebraska, Ivan Dever of Sterling, CO, Marlene Wright and husband Glenn of Sterling, CO, Denise Warner and husband Shan of Wheatland, WY, and Kevin Dever of Evans; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Delores Taylor and husband Steve of Loveland, Stanley Swarts and wife Barbara of Denver, and Sonny Swarts and wife Kim of Keensburg, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry Swarts and her sister-in-law Helen Swarts. An open house will be held at noon, Monday, December 5, 2022 at the La Salle Community Center.
