Phyllis Garn

Born Aug 17th, 1920 Born to Dora Nicol and Glen Watson Lindsay In Heber Utah. The sun went down May 11th, 2018, with the passing of our mother Phyllis Garn. In all of our years, she held my sister’s hand, Julia Garn Smith, and my hand, Janet Garn Jones, and led us through a life of immense happiness. As she let go of our hands in her last moments I know she reached for our father Harold Garn to be reunited in heaven. Our mother, with dad right beside her, taught us compassion for all, unselfishness, goodness and especially love. Preceded in death by her loving husband Harold Garn and parents Dora and Glen Lindsay. Survived by her loving daughters Janet Garn Jones and Julia Garn Smith; 5 grandchildren who looked to her for strength and advice; Troy (Lorna), Jami, Tiffany (Weck), Jeffery and Shelby (Rob); 11 great-grandchildren who just plain loved her; Kurtis (Melissa), Jeffrey, Savannah, Danielle (Julio), Dawson, Jordyn, Samantha, Taylor, Vincent, Clara and Julia; 6 great-great-grandchildren; Bailey, Bradley, Bella, Blake, Mateo and Breanna. We want to acknowledge and thank her adoring cousins for always keeping in touch… Kay, Gerald, Karma, Marcia, Shep, Marline, and Debbie. Doreen who was mom’s rock, Christine, Joe, Leslie, and Ron. The love of her neighbors was so appreciated… Linda, Becky, Fritz, Tracy, Kim, and Skyler. Thank you to her Day Care ladies Delores and Becky. Without them, life at home would have been impossible. Thank you to Ernest and Kim Hathaway, Mary Alice, and Mary Lee who kept up with mom diligently. Mom passed away in Broomfield Colorado. Her four months under the care of Broomfield Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation was a blessing for mom and her family. They cared for her as deeply as if she were their own. God and Dad now have her in their arms, and we have her in our hearts.
