Phyllis K. Jacobi

Born in 4/1918 in NJ, Phyllis grew up in Harrisburg, PA, married and lived in Cedar Grove, NJ and worked for the school system. She retired and moved to the Jersey Shore where she married her second husband, Peter Jacobi and lived in Manasquan, NJ. Phyllis loved athletics, she taught her only child, daughter, Sue to ski and play tennis at an early age. She enjoyed working, golf, bowling, and her happiest times were with her many friends over the years. Phyllis was a "selfless" person, a mother and a friend who always had a good word for everyone. She was active with Manasquan Seniors and the local shuffleboard champ. Phyllis with her daughter, Sue and Dave became snowbirds and spent the past seven winters in Punta Gorda, FL meeting new friends, Dave's family, and doing many activities in the warm weather being kept "on the go". She moved permanently to FL in April of 2018, where she last saw so many friends together and had a huge 100th birthday party by the pool and got her pic in the local newspaper. She loved visiting, going out to dinner, and sitting on a beach chair at the Navigator Sunday afternoons and just keeping busy. Phyllis had no regrets and told us she loved us to the last minute until the "lights faded in her eyes" and we said goodbye at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, FL on December 29. In lieu of flowers or condolence cards, a donation to Tidewell Hospice, at 1144 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952 would be the kindest of remembrances.
