Aspen Mortuaries - Lakewood
Phyllis Jean Frazier
October 12th, 1930 - January 25th, 2022
Jean Hagemeyer Frazier died on January 26, 2022 at age 91, living comfortably at her home until shortly before her passing. She was born on October 12, 1930 in Tacoma, Washington and attended Puget Sound College where she met her husband of 53 years, Calvin Frazier. They were married on June 8, 1952 and lived in the Oregon and Washington area for ten years before moving to Colorado. Jean Frazier was many things: a proud, caring mother to four children; a courageous woman who reentered the work force in her mid-forties, succeeded in real estate, and earned her Masters in ESL; a woman who drove downtown faithfully to teach English to adults from India, Pakistan, Venezuela, and other lands. She worked with the League of Women Voters and Jeffco Green Space promoting more land for parks and recreation. She was a woman who always kept her mind active reading, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and participating in monthly church, book, and hiking groups. She loved to hike, cross country ski, and travel the world. She was her husband†™s life-long love, helpmate, guide, and travel companion. She is survived by her oldest daughter, Laurie Wheeler (John), and her two sons, Scott (Pam) and Paul (Jayne). She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She traveled an amazing 91-year journey on this Earth and, with her faith in Jesus Christ, she has gone to meet her husband and beloved daughter, Anne. What a privilege it was to know her. We send her on her next journey with our blessings and our thanks. Services will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Church at 11500 West 20th in Lakewood, Colorado on Friday, March 18th at 2 pm. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, and to honor her love of sharing a good read, please buy a book to share with someone you love. We invite you to send a note about your gift to Paul Frazier, 816 Hickory St., Hortonville, WI 54944 or [email protected]
