Phyllis L. Ruggiero
February 27th, 1927 - July 16th, 2020
Mrs. Phyllis L. Ruggiero, age 93, of Meriden, CT; died Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Regency House, Wallingford, CT. She was born February 24, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Gloversville. She later moved to the New Haven, CT area and was employed for over 30 years as a secretary by Southern New England Telephone Company, where she also sang in the Glee Club. Phyllis is survived by three children, Thomas F. Ruggiero and Sydney Ann Ruggiero, both of Meriden, CT and Jean Gellette of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Marc Ruggiero, Kevin Ruggiero and Erin Holland; and two great-grandchildren, Joseph Vollano Jr. and Tucker Vollano. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Ruggiero in 1996, and also by her parents, Alexander and Henrietta Lampe. A graveside service will take place 1:00pm Tuesday, July 21 at Mount Carmel Cemetery, State Route 29, Johnstown, NY with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating. Facial covering and social distancing will be required. Arrangements shave been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
