Priscilla Virginia Nunes

Priscilla Nunes, 71, of Golden, Colorado passed away Sunday, April 5th at Lutheran Hospital after a brief struggle with Covid-19. Priscilla had bravely faced a number of health issues in recent years, always fighting each adversity with spunk and spirit and her unique sense of humor. Unfortunately this time was more than her body and spirit could overcome. Priscilla was born and raised in Denver where she went to school. She moved to California as a young adult and returned to Colorado in the late 90's. Priscilla was always a hard worker and held a variety of jobs in the Denver area. Her final position was chef at a senior residence facility where she was responsible for meal preparation for 250 residents. She was an excellent cook and the residents loved her meals. Priscilla is survived by her husband Bill Bowers and his children, her sisters Eloise Silburn, Adeline Martinez, her brother John Griego and her nephew Brian Bustos. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Priscilla was a loving Grandmother to Bill's four granddaughters, a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and a faithful, loving friend to all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. She will be missed by everyone who was touched by her presence. Her final wish was to be remembered with joy and laughter. Due to the current conditions with the coronavirus there will be no memorial service at this time. A celebration of her life will take place when it is safe for all her friends and loved ones to gather together.
