Priscilla Madeline Obremski
April 22nd, 1930 - October 26th, 2005
" Priscilla Madeline (Brown) Obremski, 75, of Crescent St. died October 26th at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born April 22, 1930, in Belchertown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Dunlop) Brown. She grew up in Belchertown and later moved to Granby where she has lived for the past 35 years. She worked as a LPN for the Belchertown State School for 44 years before retiring in 1991. Priscilla was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed the Mt. Holyoke Therapeutic Swimming, dancing and dining out. She loved people and had a fabulous sense of humor and will be lovingly remembered in many ways especially as the life of the party and for traveling near and far for her cherished family events. She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Donald Lyon in 1968, and her 2nd husband, Joseph Obremski in 2002. She will be sadly missed by her three children, Gregory Lyon and his wife Donna of S. Hadley, Sandra Lyon of Belchertown and Justin Obremski and his wife Chris of Granby. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Joshua, Jenna and Nathen and her two great-grandchildren Isabella and Luke, her brother George Brown and his wife Donna of Belchertown, her sisters Betty Lebreque of Springfield and Shirley Desroches of Belchertown, her sister-n-law Maureen “Moe” Brown of Belchertown, her brother-in-law Edwin Blomberg of ME, along with many dearly loved nieces and nephews. Besides her two husbands she was predeceased by brothers Albert, Kenneth and Thomas Brown, sisters Glenrose Rollet, Haxzel Zitka, Edythe Owen and June Blomberg. A funeral service will be held at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home on Monday October 31st at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4 -7 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association P.O. Box 2873, Springfield, MA 01101-2873"
