Dale Hume, age 93, passed away peacefully with his wife Madge by his side on August 12, 2017 at the Hampton Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Tumwater, Washington. He was born in Olympia on February 11, 1924 to Bernie and Ethel Hume. Dale graduated from Olympia High School in 1942 and the University of Washington in 1950, after serving in World War II. He married Madge on June 2, 1951, and was happily married for 66 years. Dale was a lifelong resident of Olympia who was proud to serve his community in countless ways throughout his life. He loved his family. He was predeceased by his brother, Don. He is survived by his wife, Madge; sons, Mike, Greg, and Tim (Diana); and granddaughters, Cait and Lilli.
