November 3rd, 1922 - January 10th, 2010
Mrs. Rachel S. Crabtree, 88 of Greensboro passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family to reside in her heavenly home on Monday January 10, 2010. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday January 14, 2010 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wayne Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Crabtree was born November 3, 1922 in Guilford County to the late John and Kate Stone. She was a member of Church Street Baptist Church and was employed at Bluebell and Greensboro Manufacturing and later in life as a CNA at Anthony's Nursing Home. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Thomas D. Crabtree, and a granddaughter Susanna Botts Farthing. Survivors include her daughters; Cathy Botts and husband W.D.,Carmen Botts, Cindy Botts and husband Doug, and Ida Cox and husband David; a son Charlie Crabtree and wife Teresa; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren ; three sisters; Eris Culbreth and husband Wally, Eloise Blake, Carol Squires , two brothers; Doug Stone and wife Nancy and Harold Stone and wife Martha. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home and all other times at Mrs. Crabtree's home. The Crabtree family wishes to extend a great appreciation to Dr. Michael Norins and the staffs of Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their care and kindness.
