My Life Story On July 29, 2016, Rachel Mariann Dean was called home by our Savior and Redeemer. Rachel was born in Boise on May 25, 2000. She was a loving, peaceful and happy baby. Rachel attended St. Marks Catholic school in Boise from kindergarten through the eighth grade where she made many friends. She loved gymnastics and basketball. She looked forward to the annual Hallisey basketball tournament and going to the father-daughter dance each February. Rachel distinguished herself by being an “A” student and a loving, understanding and compassionate classmate and friend to all. Rachel attended high school at Bishop Kelly where she had fun playing volleyball and going to school activities. Rachel loved animals, especially cats. Her cats “Sara”, “Toby” and “Melanie” were her steady bedtime and couch companions. Rachel also loved horses and horseback riding. She experienced many summertime and fall rides with her family in the Idaho mountains. Rachel also enjoyed being outdoors and doing outdoor activities. She spent many happy hours camping, ATV riding, boating, hunting and fishing with her family and friends. Rachel was happiest spending time with her friends. She enjoyed going to the movies, eating out, going to the mall, listening to music, sleep overs and taking “selfie” pictures. Some of Rachel’s favorite things were red roses, chicken enchiladas, driving her car, shopping, and baking (then eating) brownies. Rachel brought immense joy and happiness to her family, teachers and friends. Her laughter, sense of humor, light-hearted nature, infectious smile and beautiful personality will be missed by all who know her. Rachel is survived by her loving parents, Lisa Dean and Bill (Dena) Dean; brother, Matt; grandparents Paul and Virginia Stroschein; grandparents Mel and Pat Dean; aunt Madonna (Jim) Taipale; aunt Kathy Stroschein; uncle Eric (Katie) Stroschein; aunt Sheryl (Rob) Hodel; uncle Andy (Wendy) Dean; and numerous cousins and extended family. We Entrusted Rachel Dean's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
