Rachel Garcia

Rachel Lee Garcia, 38, of Firestone, Colorado entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2014. Rachel was born January 24, 1976, in Denver, Colorado. She attended Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colorado and completed an Associate’s Degree in Practical Nursing at Concord Career College in Aurora, Colorado. Rachel gave birth to her only child, Shelby Ray Neumann, on March 4, 1994. Rachel married Pete Roff on July 4, 2012. She was welcomed into Pete’s family, including parents: Ed and Stephenie Roff; sons: Pete, Brandon, and Spencer; and grandchildren Jeremy and Stella. Survivors include husband: Pete Roff; son: Shelby Neumann; parents: Donna and Steve Newton; sister: Crissy Shafer (Matthew); brother: James Garcia (Jessica); nephews: Noah, Vincent and Avien; nieces: Emily, Sloan, Alicia and Adrianna; grandparents: John Torres (Stella) and Alice Espinosa; aunt: Laurie Chavez (Art); uncles: John Torres, David Torres (Genia), Gary Torres (Virginia), Michael Torres (Rose), Tom Espinosa (Eilene); and many special cousins, other family members, and friends. A memorial service for Rachel will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 21st at United Church of Christ (UCC), 1500 9th Ave., Longmont, Colorado. A reception to celebrate her life will follow at the church. Rachel touched the hearts of many with her kindness, compassion, and acceptance of others. She will be greatly missed.
