Rachel Teresa Hernandez
February 7th, 1961 - June 13th, 2021
Rachel T. Hernandez, 60, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Salinas, CA. Rachel was born in Salinas February 7, 1961 and has lived in the Salinas Valley all her life. She worked as a Teleservice Representative with the Social Security Department for over 22 years. Rachel is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hernandez, her daughter, Sabrina Hernandez, her sons, Moses and Isaac Hernandez. She is also suvived be her sisters, Rita Martinez, Carol Martinez, Sarah Villafuerte, Rose Mary Gomez, Margaret Martinez, and Stella Varney, along with her grandchildren, Alex and Araceli Hernandez. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Lazaro and Veronica Martinez and a brother, Larry Lazaro Martinez. Celebration of a Memorial Mass and Rosary will be held, Saturday, July 3, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 22 Stone Street, Salinas. Inurnment will be held at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Salinas following the services at the church.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
