Biography of Rachel Maietta

An Inspirational Journey Rachel Maietta, a beacon of light and inspiration, was born on August 9, 1934, in Havana, Cuba. Her journey on this earth came to a peaceful end on August 25, 2024, in Venice, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. Rachel's life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and loved ones.

Early Life and Family Growing up in the vibrant city of Havana, Rachel was instilled with a love for life and a deep sense of community from a young age. She was known for her infectious energy, her curiosity about the world, and a heart that always seemed to have room for one more person.

Rachel’s life was distinguished by her devotion to her family. She wore many hats, most notably that of a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. In the young age of 50, Rachel decided to pursue further education by attending trade school, successfully becoming a medical assistant and medical administrator. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to helping others later led her to obtain certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a private duty company. Career Rachel's career was characterized by a hands-on approach and an authentic desire to improve the lives of those she cared for. These were not just jobs to Rachel—they were extensions of her inherent nurturing spirit and unyielding commitment to making the world a better place, one person at a time.

Personality and Interests To know Rachel was to love her. She was the quintessential "hostess with the mostest", always ensuring that every guest felt like the most important person in the world. Her generous spirit, honesty, and considerate nature were just a few of the many traits that made her an extraordinary woman. Rachel loved reading, cooking, dancing, and spending quality time with her family. Her presence was a source of joy and comfort, and her laughter was a melody that brightened even the darkest days.

Loved Ones Rachel is survived by a large, loving family, including her cherished Mama Carmen, daughter Natalie, son-in-law Victor, daughter-in-law Joanna, granddaughters Danielle, Jessica, Lauren, and Alexis, grandsons Anthony, Victor, James, and Anthony J., sister-in-law Yoly, and nieces Lucy, Tanya, Jessica and Gabby. My Nani was the greatest human on this planet, the most delicate but vicious woman to walk the grounds of this earth.. simply a saint sent from above and it was her time to collect her wings and serve her love from above now. All she did was love, care, and cherish her family and us her grandchildren. The pain is real right now but I know we’ll meet again, I love you so much my Nani forever <3 I love you and miss you so much.

Aunt Rachael was a treasure. She was remarkably kind and tender hearted. I always enjoyed spending time with her. She loved her family so well and will be dearly missed. I’m confident that she is dancing with Jesus and my momma, Isabel, in Heaven. I pray that my cousins find peace in their sadness and joy in the memories of Rachael. Hugs and kisses, Lizette
