Ralph Tyree Barton, AKA Rebel, Grasshopper, Scarecrow, 86, Whitewater, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 02, 2018. Ralph was born on May 9, 1931 in Kentucky to William and Virginia Lucille (Tyree) Barton. He graduated from Boy’s Tech High School, Milwaukee, WI. Ralph married Alice Earsley Schuenke on March 13, 1965. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1994. He worked for the City of Milwaukee in their public works department. He and Alice moved out to Whitewater after he retired and built their home which became known as Rebel’s Roost Ranch. Ralph had a passion for horses, hunting and guns. He drove school bus for Lakeland. He enjoyed driving all the sports teams from Palmyra to their games and became fond of all the children he got to know driving them to school. He is survived by his children James (Betty) Schuenke, Merton, WI, Jan Lubasz, Whitewater; grandchildren, Christina (Justin) Meisenheimer, Nicole Lee, Sean Schuenke, Erik (Kathy) Schuenke, Dan Schuenke; great-grandchildren Tyler, Cody, Alex, Dylan, Savanna, Kaeline, Landon, Brayden, Gavin, Paxton; daughter-in-law, Rose Schuenke; several nephews and his niece, Gaye Lynn. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Richard Schuenke; grandchildren, Anthony Schuenke, Traci Lee Lubasz; brother, Charles Barton; sister, Gloria Cash. The family would like invite family and friends to celebrate Ralph’s life on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:00pm at his home. Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater is assisting the family

We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community since 1932, when our founder Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. We feel very fortunate to continue serving the community three generations later. In 2007, we constructed our first funeral home in Whitewater. Here, our mission is the same as it has been for over 90 years: help walk our community through times of grief and provide beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors. We are proud that Whitewater families trust us to take care of their loved ones....
