Ralph C. Bond
March 25th, 1926 - September 23rd, 2010
Ralph C. Bond Sr., 84 of Manny Corners Road, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility. Born in Duanesburg N.Y. on March 25, 1926, he was the last born of eleven children to Eugene and Hattie McMillan Bond. Educated in Duanesburg schools, he lived in this area his entire life. During the Korean era, he was drafted into the US Army and served as a private first class in Austria. Ralph was employed for over twenty five years by the State Of New York Department Of Transportation, retiring as a foreman in 1986. In his leisure time, he truly enjoyed the outdoors. He cherished the many times he fished with his beloved grandson David, memories that will never be forgotten. On March 15, 1953, he was united in marriage to the former June E. Robson. In addition to his wife, Ralph leaves his sons, Ralph C. Bond Jr. of Mariaville Lake and David Alan Bond of Minaville; his grandchildren, David Alfred Bond and Katie Dyann Nadler; his last surviving sister, Sarah Dziamba of Schenectady; as well as nieces and nephews. It was Ralph's request that there be no services or calling hours. His family has entrusted his care to the staff of Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam 12010. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Community Hospice of Amsterdam in care of the funeral home office.
