Ralph Howard Holmes

Mr. Ralph “Howard” Holmes, age 94 a resident of Auburndale passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Holmes was born November 12, 1927 in Houston County, Alabama to Thomas Green and Ada (Shirah) Holmes. He and his late wife were residents of Auburndale since the 1940’s coming from Alabama. He was of the Baptist faith. Howard was an Owner/Operator of a Carpentry Business and has repaired many structures around the area including Kersey Funeral Home. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 74 years – Dorothy in 2019; brother – Leonard; sister – Kate and son in law – Malcolm Rowell. Howard is survived by; son – Larry; 3 daughters – Jackie, Judy & Joanne; sister – Jeanette; 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, October 31st at Auburndale Memorial Park.
