Palmer- Ralph E. Ingersoll, 74, passed away January 1, 2024. He was born on October 22, 1949 in Island Falls, ME, the son of Maurice and Maxine (McNinch) Ingersoll. In the late 70's, Ralph relocated to Palmer, where he has resided ever since. Ralph previously worked at Zero Corporation in Monson for many years. He was an avid chess player and loved eating lobster. From a young age, Ralph enjoyed writing poetry, a hobby he continued into adulthood. He published his own book of poems that can be read and enjoyed for years to come. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Maurice & Maxine Ingersoll; his brother, Robert Ingersoll; his loving wife, Cynthia (Waite) Ingersoll; and his best friend, Buttons. He is survived by his son, Michael Ingersoll; daughter, Rebecca Allard and husband, Derrick; grandchildren, Dylan Allard, Taylor Santiago, Jasmine Ingersoll, and Alex Ingersoll; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Santiago; and his special friend, Linda LaFortune. A period of visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 3-5pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the family's discretion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's memory can be made to the American Heart Association by visiting heart.org
