Jowett, Ralph L., Sr., 80, of Seminole, FL, died Wednesday February 7, 2001 at his home. He came here in 1942 from his native Norristown, PA and for 33 years owned Dealer?s Television Service in St. Petersburg. He was a member of Anona United Methodist Church in Largo and a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was a Board member of ?Friends of the Library? in St. Petersburg; past President of Television Dealers? Association in Pinellas County; a volunteer at Oakhurst Elementary School; and an avid reader, tennis player, golfer, and nature lover. During World War II, he served in the Army in Africa. Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Karol, and Susan Walker both of Seminole; Nancy Ritz of Largo; two sons, Ralph L., Jr. of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; Richard N. of Apple Valley, MN; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo, FL or Friends Of The Library, 3745 9th Ave. No., St. Petersburg, FL 33713.
