Ralph "Bud" Earl Mason, Jr.

Celebration of Life Ralph E. Mason Jr February 14, 1949 - November 20, 2021 Ralph “Bud” Earl Mason, Jr. was born the 14th of February 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA to Bertha Mae “Toots” Mason Sprecase and Phillip Sprecase. Bud was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Judy and Donna. Bud was a 1967 graduate of South Hills High School. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8738. Bud was a devoted member of the New Life Community Church in Irmo, SC. He loved being a part of the Golden Eagles and so enjoyed being a leader to the Children's Ministry. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan - win, lose or draw. Bud proudly served as a member of the Maritime Beach Club Board and has been going to Maritime as an owner since 1981. Bud is survived by his wife Jean; daughter, Kathy; son, Jimmy (daughter-in-law Sabrina); and the "two lights of his life", Katie and Cameron who brought so much joy and pride to his life. His nieces Jennifer and Shelly, his three great nephews, his many cousins and countless friends. Bud felt blessed beyond measure with his New Life family. Bud's Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at New Life Community Church 10809 Broad River Rd, Irmo, SC 29063, with a fellowship gathering to share food and memories of this great man's life immediately after the service. All are welcome. Memorials may be made to New Life Community Church Youth Program, Missions Ministry, or the VFW Post #8738.
