Ralph C. Miller Jr.
July 28th, 1934 - October 20th, 2015
Ralph C. Miller Jr. (aka The Boss), passed away peacefully on October 20, 2015 surrounded by his family. Ralph was born in Battlecreek, Iowa on July 28, 1934 to Ralph and Dorothy Miller, one of seven children. Ralph enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 and proudly served for 20 years. He was stationed at several locations during his career including Travis AFB, Beale AFB, Morocco and the Philippines. After retiring from the service he returned to the family home in Yuba City and went to work for Yuba College as a HVAC maintenance worker. Keeping the students and faculty properly aired for 20 years. Outside of work, Ralph loved nothing better than fishing, gold panning, metal detecting and most of all winning money from his family and friends on poker night. He took pleasure entertaining everyone with his favorite jokes and loving to make them laugh. Ralph never met an animal he didn't like. During his life he had many pets. Dogs, rabbits and pigeons were among his favorites. He truly enjoyed caring for all of them. Ralph will be dearly missed by his family and friends alike. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Carol Miller of Yuba City; his beloved children, daughters Belinda and husband Jay O'Neal, Terrie Miller, Kimberly Miller and son Ralph C. Miller III, all of Yuba City; four grandsons, Kyle and wife Lesley O'Neal, Justin O'Neal, Ralph C. Miller IV and Nathan Vetter; two great-granddaughters, Carley and Whitney O'Neal. His is also survived by siblings, Betty Schultz of Denison, IA, Sally and Robert Mundt of Broomfield, CO, Rodney and Ruth Miller of Councils Bluffs, IA, Mary Ritzdort of Las Vegas, NV, Nancy Sigman of Las Vegas, NV and Judy Miller of Denison, IA and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 am. Full military Honor Guard to follow the services at the Sutter Cemetery.
