Ralph E. Newman, 85, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on May 1, 2015. He now joins his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret; his son, Ed; his daughter, Anne; as well as his parents and brothers in his Heavenly home. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Lindsley of West Melbourne and her husband Scott; and his two very special and loving granddaughters, Annie and Jennifer of West Melbourne. Ralph Edward Newman was born at home in Neville Island, Pa on August 10, 1929. His youth was spent on a farm in Coraopolis Heights, PA. He joined the US Navy and spent seven years as a Communication Technician. He met his wife, Margaret Johnston, while working as a telephone lineman in Clinton, PA. They were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Coraopolis, Pa on March 31, 1951. They had 3 children; Edward, born in Sewickley, Pa., Anne born in Dayton, Oh, and Janet, born in Melbourne, Fl. Ralph worked as a communication engineer for ITT and Lockheed at Kennedy Space Center and RCA at Patrick AFB. He was a charter member of Masonic Lodge 354 in Indialantic. He was a HAM radio operator and a US Navy veteran. He lived in Indialantic, FL since 1960 and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Indian Harbour Beach, Fl for 55 years. Ralph was always known for being a man who loved his family and his church, and a good friend. He leaves a legacy of love for his family. He was the very beloved grandfather to Janet's two daughters Annie and Jennifer. Visitation hours will be at Beach Funeral Home - East, Indian Harbour Beach, on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
