Mr. Ramiro Velasquez, age 36, a resident of Lakeland passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Ramiro was born on October 25, 1986, in Guerrero, Mexico to Jose Velasquez and Empeatriz (Sanchez) Velasquez. Ramiro was a resident of Polk County and worked as an Electrician Apprentice for The Walt Disney World Company for two years. When not at work, you would find Ramiro playing video games, cooking and spending time with his family, especially making memories with his two sons. We will miss Ramiro’s contagious laugh, sarcastic remarks and great smile while he watched soccer and football games; especially, when his favorite team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, would play. Ramiro leaves behind to cherish his parents; loving wife, Crystal Renee Velasquez; sons, Ramiro Lee Velasquez and Luis Alejandro Velasquez; 6 sisters, Rosa (Fernando) Jimenez, Fran (Candido) Trejo, Dulce (Pedro) Trejo, Noelia Ramirez, Nancy Jimenez, and Enedelia (Abel) Hernandez; 1 brother, Rey (Maria) Velasquez; 8 nieces; 8 nephews; 3 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. Ramiro was preceded in death by sister, Gardelia Velasquez of Guerrero, Mexico. Funeral services for Ramiro Velasquez will be 2pm Friday, October 6th at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale with the family receiving friends beginning at 1pm.
