Ramona Morales

Ramona Morales, 60, of Forbes Street, Amsterdam, passed away Wednesday morning April 19, 2006 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Amsterdam. Born in Puerto Rico on February 8, 1946 a daughter of Pablo and Georgina Velez Morales, she lived and worked in Puerto Rico most of her life until moving to Amsterdam three years ago. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith. She married Jose Rivera on August 10, 1960. In addition to her husband survivors include three sons, Jose E. Rivera of Pennsylvania, Luis A. Rivera of Johnstown, New York and Jose L. Rivera of Amsterdam; three daughters, Maria E. Rivera of Amsterdam, Maria C. Schmidtmann of Johnstown, New York and Maria Rivera of Amsterdam; three brothers, William, Fred and Jesus; three sisters, Maria, Gloria and Carmen; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 11:00AM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam. Cremation will take place at Vale Cemetery Crematorium in Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00AM at the funeral home.
