Randall Lee Hamsik Randall Lee Hamsik,68, passed away at his home in DuPont, Washington on Saturday, May 5, 2012, attended by his family after a long illness. He leaves his wife, Debra Bajohr; his sister, Monica Schafer; aunt, Jessie Smith; three children, Nathan, Brett and Lindsay Hamsik; as well as numerous relatives, friends and colleagues. Randall was born in Boise, Idaho and raised in Portland, Oregon by his parents, Ina and Vencel Hamsik. He graduated from North Catholic High School and entered the University of Idaho. He attended Goethe Institute in Arolsen, Germany, and Jozsef Attila University in Szeged, Hungary. He learned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Portland State University and an Associate of Arts in Computer Programming from Puget Sound Community College. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserves, and was stationed in Bethesda, Maryland. His training as a Hospital Corpsman lead him to a career as a Respiratory Therapist, working in multiple Puget Sound hospitals, including Providence St. Peter. An avid outdoorsman, Randall was always eager to climb another mountain, ski down another slope, or bushwhack some unmarked wooded trail. His love for his wife Debra and adventure called them to many parts of the United States and the world. His enthusiasm for nature, compassion for mankind, and love of family and friends will always be admired and remembered. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice, 10731 A Street South, Suite B, Tacoma, WA 98444.
