Randall "Randy" Pina
Life Legacy Randall "Randy"Blaine Pina, 72, of Salinas, passed away at the age of 72 on April 5, 2018. Randy was born on January 9, 1946 in Fort Bragg, California. He grew up in Hopland, Covelo and San Francisco. He served in the Vietnam War, where he was stationed in Cam Ranh Bay and Korea. With the help of the GI Bill; he went to college and dental school. He then re-enlisted and spent the rest of his honorable Army career as a dentist. He served during the Persian Gulf War. He retired with the rank of LT Colonel and then practiced dentistry in the Salinas and Monterey area. Monterey and Fort Ord were always very special to him as he had been stationed here several times during his military career. He was a member of the American Legion Post #31 in Salinas and had served on the American Legion Post #31 Honor Guard. Randy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all. Randy is survived by, his loving wife, Virginia Pina mother, Beatrice Pina sister, Vivian Wright children, James (Carina), Charles (Margot), Kathryn and Eric (Lupe) grandchildren, Amara, Liam, Gianna, Andrea and Noah and his life-long best friend, Mike, Morton. He is preceded in death by, his son, Michael Pina. Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 12pm at the American Legion Post #31 14 W. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
