Randy Layton McQuay, 67, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away November 16, 2023. Born a Charlotte native on July 5, 1956, he was the son of the late Jesse B. McQuay, Sr. and Lucille Maness. Randy is survived by his brothers, Jesse "Buck" McQuay, Jr., Johnny C McQuay, his son, Randy L McQuay II, daughter, Chrissy M Thomes and many more loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister Betty M Wallace. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P. M. to 1:00 P. M. on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203. Following the visitation will be a graveside service honoring Randy's life at 2:00 P. M. at Oaklawn Cemetery, 1615 Oaklawn Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28216.
