Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday April 16, 2018 at the Payette Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Doug Hazeltine will officiate. Private interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Gardens Payette, Idaho. Condolences may be made to Raymond's family at www.dignitymemorial.com. Raymond Clifford Cox of Payette, Idaho passed away after a long battle with Cancer at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday April 11, 2018. Ray was born to Alfred and Pearl Cox at their home in Cutler City, Oregon on October 21, 1944. He was raised in Adventist faith. Like his father, Ray was a logger starting at the age of 14. He worked at the Emmett Plywood mill and the saw mill in Payette Idaho, as well as working in construction for many years. In 1968 Ray met and married the love of his life, Sandy Schmidt. Together they raised their four children, Nick, Danny Tyler and Jackie. They had a great life and share many wonderful memories. He enjoyed many family gatherings, hunting, fishing, and camping trips with his family. Ray was a great father. He was always so proud of the big gardens they grew over their 50 years together. He enjoyed the time he had with his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He definitely lived a full 9 lives. We will miss the many stories he told us over the years. He always lit up when reminiscing of times past. Ray was a proud supporter of the 2nd amendment and NRA. He enjoyed many years of Bass club tournament fishing with his wife. He made many friends over the years. There is no place he'd rather be than at home with his family. He is going to be greatly missed by many. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Pearl and his youngest son Tyler, who he could now be reunited with. He is survived by his wife Sandra Cox, and their children and their families Nick and Katia Cox, Nathan Cox and Hallie Wininger and their son Kael Ray Cox, Trevor and Searra Cox and their daughter Mckenzie, Coty Cox and his puppy Nixon, Kelby (Cox) and Justin Miles and Harper Miles, Gavin Boudreau. Dan and Corrie Cox, Madison, Morgan, Mason, and Landen Cox. Jackie (Cox) and Zeb Jerman, Zane, Zack, and Tyler Jerman. From previous marriages, his sons Rick and Ray and Daughter Kim and their families. The many children that went to the day care over the years.
