Raymond A. Dyer
August 24th, 1943 - January 14th, 2022
Raymond A. Dyer, 78, of Eaton, Colorado passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at his home. He was born August 24, 1943 to Chart and Pearl (Parker) Dyer in Ault, Colorado. Ray grew up in the rural, Galeton area and was an All-State athlete in three sports; football, basketball, and track. He graduated from Galeton High School in 1961. On February 14, 1981 he married Kim Nelson of Eaton, CO. Ray worked in the trucking industry for over 56 years and hauled everything from livestock, to grain, to crude oil and water. Cattle was his favorite. He loved tractor pulls, polishing his semi, bowling, carpentry, traveling, shoveling snow, and watching his grandkids play sports. He is survived by his wife Kim Dyer; his children, Jana Rae Dyer and husband Denny Koehler, Scott Dyer and wife Donna, Robby Dyer and wife Gerry, Janell Dyer, Shasti Haythorn, and Shane Dyer and wife Mandi; his grandchildren; Mariah, Logan, Katlynn, Kolbie, Jimmy, Kevin, Haley, Kassie, Jay, Laila, Sonja, Havala, and Kansas Pearl; numerous great-grandchildren who loved their Papa Ray; his brothers Ronnie Dyer, Roy Dyer, Rady Dyer and Randy Dyer and his sisters, Barbie Heckman and Bonnie Berner. He was preceded by his parents and his older brother Jack Keyes. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Eaton Baptist Church. Interment Eaton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, Weld County Humane Society, or Eaton Baptist Church in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
