Raymond Neal Jayo
October 3rd, 1956 - February 26th, 2019
Our beloved father, brother, and friend Raymond Neal Jayo entered into rest Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in Grand View Idaho. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Oreana Community Hall. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, in Mtn Home. Raymond went by many names, Papa Raymond, Ramón, but the name most known by all was friend. He was known and loved by all who encountered him. His whole life was spent in the saddle as a buckaroo across the Great Basin. His skills as a buckaroo and horseman where unmatched. Raymond’s immediate family for most of his life were his horses and dogs. He had a great gift of teaching. Raymond loved to help young cowboys and turn them into well-known hands. He was well known to show up in the middle of a wreck and it just smoothed out by him being there. Raymond was a true artist with a rope many enjoyed watching his skills. Raymond was always the first one to help anyone in need, his heart was so big and full of life and love for all he crossed paths with. If he had money everybody had money, Raymond would go without to give to a friend in need. Raymond has left a big hole in our hearts and our lives and will be missed by all. He is proceeded in death by his parents Frank and Maxine Jayo, many cousins, aunts and uncles. He is survived by his daughter Dali and Cody Korell and his grandsons Nessen and Layden Korell. His son Levi Jayo, Emma Weaver and granddaughters Paige and Brynlee Jayo. Brother Dennis and Jennifer Jayo, sister Linda and Bill Simpson, sister Reva and Dean Tobias, sister Letha and Terry Black. Nieces and nephews Shannon and BJ Wachob, Cody Jayo, Ty and Gretchen Simpson, Rena Simpson, Cassie Funkhouser, Dusty Funkhouser, Frank and Kayla Tobias, Marty and John Schutte, Les and Jacque Black. The family suggest memorials in Raymond’s name be sent to the Oreana Community Hall, C/O Bill White, 18138 Oreana Loop Rd, Oreana, ID 83650.

Rost Funeral Home
As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
