JUSTICE, Raymond Eugene, 56, of Ruskin, passed away September 24, 2008. Raymond was born on December 16, 1951 in Albany, Georgia to William S. and Rosie L. (Dyess) Justice. He served 3 tours in Vietnam after graduating from Lakeland High School in 1969. After his return from the Army Special Forces, he formed a Country/Top 40 music band "Raymond Justice & Showtime USA. The band played the local circuit for a few years, when he was signed on as frontman for such country stars as Vern Gosden, Emmy Lou Harris, Bobby Bear, Jim Ed Brown and Helen Cornelius. appearing on "Nashville on the Road" for several years. After returning home to Lakeland to care for his ailing mother, Raymond went into Law Enforcement. During his duties as a Police Officer he met and married his wife, Marelene. Together they drove over the road as a tractor/trailer driving team for over 10 years, where they achieved the 1 million mile safety record with a nationwide transportation company. When the couple came off the road he became a general contractor. As his health began to fail he was cared for by his wife and LifePath Hospice in their home in Plant City. His hobbies were remote control plane flying, fishing and always continued to sing. He was amember of the Faithrider motorcycle ministry of Belle Shoals Baptist Church of Brandon. Survivors include his wife, Marelene; 2 daughters, Joellen of Los Angeles, California and Cassidy of Alabama; 2 step children, Michael of Tampa and Andrea of Dothan, Alabama; 9 grandchildren. Memorial Service will be at the Multi Purpose Center, Bell Shoals Baptist Church, Brandon. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to LifePath Hospice. hn glover death datepsychology and lung cancer
