He was a resident of Monterey County for 48 years. he is survived by his wife, Piedad "Mercy" Leyva of the family home in Gonzales two daughters Ramona (Joseph) Santillanes of Gonzales Loretta (Israel Ramirez) Leyva of San Jose son David (Marla) Leyva of Hanford sister Mary Griego of Los Angeles four brothers Jesus Leyva of Nogales, Mexico Frank Leyva of New York Ernest Leyva of Los Angeles Ruben Leyva of Lemore four grandchildren Susie, Hayley, Payton and Garrett

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
