Raymond P. Rastelli, Sr. 91, of Wenonah, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Legacy A loving and kind gentleman, people were drawn to Ray because of his positive outlook on life and his way of making others feel good. Ray’ will be remembered for his upbeat nature, his great story telling and for being such a jokester. He was devoted to his family, especially his true love of 65 years, the late Annabelle. They started their family and had three wonderful children, Catherine, Raymond, Jr. and Anthony. The family grew and Ray doted on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Providing for his family and making cherished memories was what life was all about for Ray. Every family member has their own fond memories of Ray including the grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss his teasing but especially his loving ways. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Ray was a resident of Mantua, NJ for 40 years and prior to that, Oak Valley, where the family were longtime parishioners of Infant Jesus Parish at St. Margaret’s RC Church. Ray retired at the age of 52 as President of Blue Bird Foods in Philadelphia, PA. After retirement, Ray was a dedicated, hardworking member of the Rastelli Family business up until days before he passed. Family Beloved Husband of the late, Annabelle S. (nee Abate); devoted father of Catherine Hillman-Comito and her husband Tony, and the late Edwin W. Hillman, Raymond and his wife, Gerri, and Anthony and his wife, Jill; devoted grandfather of Jode Hillman , Cathy Lynn Venuto, Andrew Hillman, Rachel Merryfield, Tara Carr, Raymond Rastelli III, Jenna Varano, Lauren DeMarco, Anthony Rastelli, Jr., Nicole Rastelli, and great grandfather of 21; dear brother of the late Angelo Rastelli and survived by wife, Rose Rastelli. Raymond is loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Raymond's viewing on Monday, 8:00 - 10:30 AM at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit at Holy Name of Jesus RC Church, 17 Earlington Avenue (East Avenue), Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 550 Delsea Drive, Sewell, NJ.. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Raymond's name to Center for Family Services to support families in need, 584 Benson Street, Camden, NJ 08103 or www.centerffs.org..
