SALERNO, Raymond A., III, 27, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Fort Sam Houston, TX. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Land O’ Lakes in 1983. He was a graduate of Land O’ Lakes High School. He was seriously injured in Iraq while serving his country in the U S Army and was presented with a Purple Heart. He had been recuperating in the United States. He is survived by his fiancée, Nerea Guerrica; son, Nikolas “Niko”; parents, Raymond and Roberta of Land O’ Lakes; brothers, Christopher of Tampa, Joshua of Land O’ Lakes; sister Camille Meredith of Land O’ Lakes; paternal grandfather, Raymond Salerno of Pittsburgh, PA, paternal grandmother, Phyllis Lemark of Pittsburgh, PA; maternal grandfather, Raymond Lizak of Pittsburgh, PA, maternal grandmother, Theresa of Newport News, VA. A Funeral Service will be held at Loyless Funeral Home on Monday at 10:00AM. Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
