Rob Burness Some people we meet in life are always remembered. Others fade over time. I was only around Coach Schnizter for 2 years at SPHS, but I think of him often. He was a great coach and mentor. He once told me the only thing lacking in my game (basketball) was finesse. He was correct even to this day. RIP Coach.

Gerard Hausheer Beth and family, my prayers are with you. Your parents both impacted the lives of my family in many positive ways. Until read the obit I took most of them for granted. What amazing man. I am sorry for your loss. Of course you miss the father - the dad who loved and raised you. What is clear upon reading the details is we've lost another of the "greatest generation" that defended us with honor and sacrifice and built the wonderful world in which we grew up. We honor those them all. God Bless you at this time of grieving. You are not alone. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20)

Art Winters I was Ray's assistant manager in the three swim clubs mentioned in the obit. We had a lot of fun and shared many laughs. I also taught at SPHS for a year when he was Assistant Principal. In addition he was my track and JV basketball coach. A good man, a great coach, and an outstanding supervisor. His humor was legendary-I have many stories to tell.

Richard Thompson I ran the 880 and mile relay at SPFHS for Coach Schnitzer in '59 and '60. Encouraging me to "extend myself" led to success on the track and in life itself. Coach was an encourager and cheerleader and taught us all that effort pays dividends. God bless you, Coach.
