Raymond Allen Welliver, known to friends and family as “Ray,” passed away on June 27, 2018 at the age of 68, following an illness. A native of Elmira, NY, Ray, son of Wilmot (Wink) and Anne Welliver, attended Southside High School in Elmira and earned a degree in Applied Science from SUNY Agricultural and Technical College at Alfred in 1974 after serving in the U.S. Army from 1968-1971 stationed in Germany. In 1974, he began his career at Westinghouse in Horseheads, NY, followed by a move to Mergenthaler in Wellsburg, NY and New York City. He founded TTS, Inc. in Manchester, NH in 1978, moving to Florida in 2004 and retiring in Lutz, FL in 2008. Ray, an avid motorcyclist, was a member of the NH Southern Cruisers and the Patriot Guard in both New Hampshire and Florida. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Suzanne (Halpin), brother Jerry Welliver (Carolyn) of Big Flats, NY, brother Larry Welliver (Cindy) of Northport, FL and nieces, Amy Klossner of Horseheads, NY and Kimberly A. Welliver of Charlotte, NC A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Loyless Funeral Home, 5310 Land O’ Lakes Blvd, Land O’ Lakes, FL followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Ray may be made to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-0407.
