Rebecca Newcomb

November 20th, 1957 - August 21st, 2024

Rebecca Newcomb, née Beedle, born on November 20, 1957, in Fort Eustis, Virginia, breathed her last on August 21, 2024, in Puyallup, Washington. Rebecca's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering energy that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Rebecca grew up in Tumwater, Washington, graduating from Tumwater High School in 1976. She built an esteemed career spanning 17 years at Twin Star Credit Union, retiring in 2023. Her colleagues remember her not only for her dedication but also for the warmth she brought into the workplace every day.

A woman of many talents, Rebecca had a profound love for sewing and crafting. Her creative spirit was evident in the cute and fun crafts she made, which brought joy to her friends and family. Additionally, her love for gardening was a passion that she tended to with great care, mirroring her approach to all things in life.

Rebecca's most cherished moments were those spent with her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel G. Newcomb, and her loving children, Daniel G. Newcomb II, Matthew C. Newcomb, and Joel R. Newcomb. She also leaves behind her brother, Frank Beedle, her sister, Leita Rayment, Her mother, Henny Anderson, and 7 beautiful grandchildren. Once again, Rebecca is reunited with her other family members,  her father Frank Beedle and her loving brother Douglas Beedle.

Described by loved ones as considerate, generous, energetic, and kind, Rebecca had an infectious spirit that enlivened every room she entered. She was a beacon of generosity, often putting others before herself, but her love for those close to her heart was profound and unwavering.

A celebration of her extraordinary life will be held on December 20, 2024, starting at 2:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St SE, Tumwater, Washington, 98501. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the beautiful legacy of a woman who made the world a better place simply by being in it.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites expressions of condolences and personal memories, to celebrate the enduring impact Rebecca had on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rebecca Newcomb will forever be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones – her spirit, lessons, and love remain an indelible part of their lives.

Omgosh! Where to begin? Rebecca was such a kind hearted gal. Her grandson Axel attended my childcare/preschool for a cpl of years. She and I would visit and chat whenever she was picking him up. My goodness she loved those boys! She was a gem for sure. I was so heartbroken to hear of her passing. I'm sure her stepping into the next life and seeing her father and brother was a joyous occasion. I pray her family will be at peace. I'm sure she'd say the same. Hugs friend until the next time we meet.

Mom, I hate the fact that I’m writing this, my heart is forever broken and there’s nothing that will change that. I lost a piece of my heart, my soul, my everything. I miss you more and more everyday and it’s just hard. But I know you’re watching over me and don’t want me to be sad. I’m working on it, but it’s incredibly difficult. Hug that little guy of mine. I love you so much, heaven got a real one, but we lost even more.
