Mrs. Rebecca "Becki" Roe Snyder, 37, formerly of Chesterfield, VA, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St Francis Hospital in Chesterfield, VA. Becki fought a long and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis, which she refused to let define her life. Becky was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed; but forever remembered in the hearts of everyone she touched. Funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 30th at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery. Becki was born March 5, 1978 in Henrico, Virginia to Roscoe C. Roe Jr. and Jacqueline Graham Roe. Becki graduated from Manchester High School in 1997 and was a graduate of Riverside Nursing School. Becki perused a career in nursing until her debilitating disease made it impossible. Becki was married June 30th, 1999 to her soulmate and best friend Bradley Snyder (deceased). Becki struggled her younger years with an undiagnosed disease. She was around 19 years old when she was finally diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Even with all her health issues as a child and teen, she never lost her laughter and love of life. She participated on several swim teams in her younger years and developed a love of dance in adult hood. Becki had a double lung transplant September 15, 2004 and survived being in rejection for over 10 years. She loved visiting historical places such as Fredericksburg and Williamsburg with her husband and dogs Holly and London. Becki volunteered at VA hospitals as a teenager and started a non-profit organization that allowed children with diseases such as Cystic Fibrosis to participate in summer camps. Becky was preceded by her beloved husband Bradley Wayne Snyder, Grandfather John Graham Sr, Roscoe C. Roe, and Grandmother Rose Roe. Becky is survived by her parents, Roscoe and Jacqueline Roe; sister, Crystal Gardiner (Brendan); brothers, Scott Roe (Audrey) and John Roe; nieces, Samantha Dawn, Abigail Grace, and Estelle La'Ren. Becky had numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends that cared dearly for her. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 pm Tuesday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home in Greensboro, NC. Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
