Rebecca Lynn Willett, 67, passed away peacefully in her home in Chico, California, on May 8, 2019. She was surrounded by family and friends. Rebecca was born in Ohio and moved to California when she was a teenager. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in San Mateo, California. Rebecca had many careers, ranging from land surveying to funeral sales, but she was most proud of her job as a Mom. Rebecca enjoyed hiking, nature, reading, music, telling stories, spending time with her family and friends and her rescue dog “Popcorn”. Rebecca lived an extraordinary life. She was a passionate person who saw beauty and deep meaning in everything that she experienced. She lived her life without regret. When asked how she wanted to be remembered, she simply replied, “she did it her way”. Rebecca leaves behind six children, Michelle, Kelly and Emily Cavagnuolo, Jaclyn Maron-Chao, Daniel and Andrew Fukuba; daughter-in-law, Angela Uyeda; son-in law, David Maron; dear friend, Raymond Campbell; brothers, William and Michael Willett; grandchildren, Colin Cavagnuolo-Pyles, August and Jude Maron-Chao. Rebecca is preceded in death by her father, Richard Willett; mother, Marilyn Willett; sister, Jennifer Willett; daughter, Kimberly Cavagnuolo; and son, Anthony Cavagnuolo. From the words of Rebecca’s favorite poem “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann: You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be Happy.
