Reed Winslow Blake
July 9th, 1959 - July 24th, 2014
Reed Winslow Blake, age 55 of Arvada, Colorado Reed was born on July 9th, 1959 at Mesa Hospital in Grand Junction Colorado to Richard and Elaine Blake (Ortman). He passed away on July 24th 2014 at Colliers Hospice in Lakewood Colorado after a two year battle with prostate cancer. His family was by his side as he passed peacefully. Reed graduated from Golden High School in 1977 and went to the University of Colorado in Boulder for 2 years of higher education. His talent as a Software Engineer led to employment with the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Computerland, EMCO and his own company, Beta Technology. Reed is survived by his brother Keith, sister in law, Debbie, Niece Amber, and Nephew Chris. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday July, 29th at 3:00 at the Aspen Mortuaries Lakewood Chapel located at 1350 Simms St. in Lakewood, CO. Reception to follow at the Blake residence in Golden.
