Reed Cooper of Tacoma, WA, passed away suddenly on July 23rd, 2012. Born August 21, 1939, Reed attended Lincoln H.S. and Central Washington University. “Mr. Cooper” had a full and rewarding 31-year teaching and coaching career at Curtis Jr. High in University Place. Reed enjoyed hiking, camping, taking long walks, riding his bike, his daily crossword puzzle, golfing, and playing pool with his best friend, Larry Kaperick. He is survived by his wife Patricia, children Greg (Francesca) Cooper, Diane Cooper, and Amy (Russell) Clark, as well as numerous extended family and friends. Reed had a fun, dry sense of humor and a quick wit. He will be missed and his memory cherished by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on July 31st at Lakeview Chapel, 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Foundation, P.O. Box 1501, Tacoma, WA 98401.
