Regina Marie Brantley, 57, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017 at home with her family, after her 9 month battle with cancer. She was the wife of loving and devoted husband, Steve, and a mother to their two children, Teresa and Michael. Regina was born on May 2, 1959 and grew up in Brooklyn, New York with her loving parents, Anthony and Elizabeth, and four siblings, Frank, Michael, Conni, and Lynn. Regina studied psychology at Creighton University, where she obtained her bachelor's degree, and then at RPI for her master's. She moved to Florida in 1983 to take a job at Harris, a job that she had all the way until 2016. This job is where she met Steve in 1985, and they were married on June 27, 1987. Teresa (1988) and Michael (1990) came along shortly after. They were the joy of her life. She lived for attending their soccer games, baseball games, and band events. Regina's three favorite things were cruises, margaritas, and her dog, Timmy. She traveled all over in the last few years; from the Caribbean, to the Canary Islands, and to Scandinavia and Europe. Regina was full of life. She thrived on being with her family and close friends. Though she grew up in New York, Florida and its sun were her home. The family is requesting donations to Trinity Wellsprings Church or to cancer research in lieu of flowers. Cancer Research Institute Inc or Mayo Clinic (designated for cancer research) 4500 San Pablo Road S. Jacksonville, FL
