Centerville, GA: Reggie Hellwig, 57, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 13 from 7 to 9 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Warner Robins. Services will be held at the First Assembly of God in Warner Robins at 2 PM on Thursday, December 14. Reverend Glynn Grantham will officiate. Interment will follow the services in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hellwig was born April 30, 1949 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his late father, Francis Hellwig. He served our country in the U.S.Army 82nd Airborne Division, 325 infantry. Mr. Hellwig was also a retired civil servant at Robins Air Force Base. A hard-working man, he loved gardening in his leisure time, and keeping up with local sports teams. As a little league and recreational coach for over 20 years, Mr. Hellwig was a father to many and a favorite in the community. He was a loving and dependable father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed. Survivors include: his wife, Toni Hellwig of Centerville, four children, Jay Jill Hellwig of Lewisville, TX, Angie Trae Canion of Owasso, OK, Blaine Hellwig of Centerville and Clark Hellwig of Centerville, three grandchildren, Evan and Elijah Hellwig of Lewisville, TX and Isiah Canion of Owasso, OK, mother Geneva Hellwig of Hopewell, VA, two brothers, Frank and Gary Hellwig, four sisters Janice Foote, Frances Lay, Marilyn Condo, Mary Ann Hellwig and Margaret Myers of Byron. Flowers will be accepted at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, 701 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warenr Robins, GA, 31093. A trust is also being set up for Mr. Hellwig’s dependent son, Clark age 11. Friends who wish may make contributions c/o Toni Hellwig, 200 Scarborough Road, Centerville, GA 31028.
