Reilly Christopher Crisler
April 6th, 2003 - August 28th, 2021
Obituary It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Reilly Christopher Crisler, 18 of Monument, CO. Reilly was in a tragic motor cycle accident and was called to his eternal home on August 28, 2021 where he will forever be surrounded by peace and abundant love. Reilly was born on April 6th, 2003, in Honolulu, Hawaii at Trippler Army Hospital to Steven and Renee (Becker) Crisler, of Monument, Colorado. He is the second oldest child, and the oldest son of five beautiful children. His siblings truly loved him and looked up to him. He will always be a part of their lives through loving memories, and his spirit will live on in their earthly presence. Reilly attended elementary school at The Classical Academy and Prairie Winds Elementary School. He was a student at Lewis Palmer Middle School and completed high school May, 2021, at Lewis Palmer High School. He was advanced in his math and English classes and always worked hard in his classes. At a young age, Reilly was a gifted athlete who didnt necessarily always want to use that talent. Begrudgingly, he participated in the sports his parents signed him up for, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, wrestling, and baseball. While not loving the sport itself, he loved the relationships that he made on his teams. These friendships became an important part of Reillys life. During high school, Reilly ran Cross Country and played Lacrosse. Reilly found he most enjoyed his connections with his lacrosse teammates and because of their support and companionship he enjoyed his junior and senior year on the varsity team. He also poured his love into airplanes, cars, firearms, and all things military. Reilly was described by his teachers as extremely intelligent. He was polite, kind, funny, and people who knew him best knew he could be a bit ornery. But he was always a respectable young man. Many people didnt realize that on the outside Reilly channeled his will and drive into being himself and told everyone he was unaffected by what others thought of him; however, deep down, we think but he put on a tough exterior and made it seem like it didnt affect him, but as his parents we know it did. Reilly enjoyed this family time and thankfully there was a lot of that time spent together. As a family, we spent time boating, snowboarding, dirt biking, and the family vacations to Tablerock Lake and Corning, Kansas were a highlight. These were his favorite times because he truly loved visiting family in Kansas and indulging in the home-cooked meals/desserts, especially the beef from the family farm. As he grew and matured, his strong-willed and determined personality became apparent, as well as his intellect. Like many kids, Reilly had many highs and lows in high school. If Reilly was told he couldnt or shouldnt do something he was even more driven to do it. He never gave up and with the help of his family, faith, and great friends he was able to navigate through life and was headed on the path of finding his true self. Finding that bit of direction, was life-changing to him and his family because he hated not knowing where his life was going. However, this transition time opened his eyes to lifes opportunities and how he might find his place or niche. F1 racing was Reillys dream career. Even though he wasnt able to live that dream, he incorporated this in other aspects of his life through driving shifter carts, sport biking, and working at Tire World as a mechanic. He would never turn down an opportunity to take to the air with a friend or anything that involved really fast, cool cars. Reilly was a true thrill seeker. He leaves behind a family who deeply loves him and will miss him dearly. He is survived by his parents Steven and Renee Crisler. An older sister Ellie, and three younger brothers, Thatcher, Zakariah, and Stryker, all of Monument, Colorado. His Grandfathers, Glenn Crisler, Elko Nevada, Roger Becker, of Corning, Kansas, and several aunts, uncles and many cousins. He loved you all and always will. He was preceded in death by his Grandmothers, Mary Lou Crisler, and Betty Becker. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to a fund in honor of Reilly. The "Jump Start Fund" will be dispersed to an LPHS student or alum in need who is interested in entering an industry trade or opening a business (i.e. construction, flight school, carpentry, or welding).
