Renee Lucille Edwards
March 10th, 1942 - December 27th, 2022
“I shall pass this way but once. Therefore, any good I can do.. Or any kindness that I can show..Let me do it now.. For I shall not pass this way again.” (Renee’s favorite quote) Renee Edwards was often larger than life. Born on March 10, 1942, her adventures began with her growing up years traveling many places with her family. She spent many those years in Baker City, Oregon where she anchored her adult life and many relationships in her community. She was involved in the Eagles, American Legion auxiliary and could be found participating in lots of community events. Her love of the outdoors was only rivaled by her love of her family. Often Renee could be found working with animals, camping, or spending time with family. Her gift as an artist can be seen in the many projects she gifted to others or her home. Her career spanned many disciplines from a degree from OIT to working for Baker County to owning and operating local bars. Her four boys were loved very much by her and is evident in their independence and successful lives. James (Brenda), Howard (Debora), Samuel (Lisa) and Donald grew up learning the love of the outdoors, community service and commitment to family that Renee valued. Her kids, grandkids and extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and siblings were something she took pride in and kept track of. Spending time with her grandkids gave her tremendous joy, whether attending their events or shopping, her sarcasm and wit was always in attendance regardless of who she was with. From living next door to her sister and their banter to the last day, she believed in living life her way as much as possible and encouraged others to do the same. She passed away on December 26th, 2022, peacefully. A celebration of life will take place on May 5th 2023. Until we meet again, Love your family

We Entrusted Renee Edwards's Care To
Thomason Funeral Home
For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
