Reverend Stanley H. Larsen

Stanley Larsen, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3, 2018 while in hospice care. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eleonor, and their children, Doug and his wife Beverly of Merritt Island, and their children Suzanne and Michael (of Fort Worth, Texas); and Sheryl Liggett of Merritt Island, and her son Eric Lenhardt and his wife Cindy of Queens, NY and his great-grandchildren Olivia and Victor. He was predeceased by son Darrell of Melbourne, FL, and parents Hans and Mathilde of Brooklyn, NY. He was a retired Presbyterian minister of 43 years, serving in churches in upstate New York, and Long Island, New York and Virginia. He was also a certified Pastoral Counselor and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He had a passion for sailing and camping with his family, traveling across the country with their children to New Mexico from New York. He was a lover of music, playing the trumpet himself with many groups after retiring to Florida in 1998 to be near his family. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, March 9, 2018 at Rockledge Presbyterian Church at 11 am.
