Rex L. Johnson, 77, of Yuba City, CA, passed away April 2, 2018. Rex was born in Nyssa, OR, January 26, 1941. Rex has been a part of the Yuba Sutter community since 1946. He graduated from Marysville High School and worked for UPS for 20 years prior to retirement. He was also in the USAF Reserves. Rex never met a stranger and he always had a funny story or a good joke to share. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Rex is survived by his wife, Chile Johnson of Yuba City; daughters, Pam Vickers of Loomis and Monnette Johnson of Sparks; brothers, Jack Johnson of Yuba City and Ralph Johnson of Santa Rosa; sister, Oleta Melane of Yuba City; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie Johnson; brothers, George Robert Johnson and Leo Johnson; and sister, Juanita Sterling. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018, 1-3:30pm, at (Ruthy's) Hillcrest Landing, 229 Clark Ave, YC. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a cancer prevention organization of your choice.
