Rex B. Richter, 57, of North Port, FL and formerly of Naperville, IL passed away on November 22, 2022. He was born on July 20, 1965 in Grand Rapids, MI. Rex was a retired gardener/landscaper. He had many hobbies and interests. Rex had seven magnificent tropical fish tanks and forty beautiful house plants. He loved to paint landscapes scenery, and animals. Rex’s beloved cat, Callie, was his constant companion. He was a great supporter of the environment and all animal habitats. Rex is survived by his parents, John and Dale Richter of Venice, FL; sister, Karen (Scott) Hoppa of Auburn, AL; niece, Bailey Hoppa of Auburn, AL; two aunts, Donna (Phil) Dunio of Sarasota, FL, Carol Wilkins of Crawfordsville, IN; three uncles, Rex (Annmarie) Demaree of Duran, OK, Bob Demaree of Gaylord, MI, Rick Richter of Grand Rapids, MI; and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred (Isabel) Richter of MI and Bob (Cumie) Demaree of MI. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements. Interment will take place at Venice Memorial Gardens at a later date.
